Hi,
I have just installed Balsa 0.8.1 on RedHat 6.1 and set up the [clients]
correctly, I think. When I click on the Check button, or try to check the mail
I havent seen any mention of this on the list, but it seems to be an important
point.

Thanks Kevin,
I have done a couple of different set ups, Retrospect, which is running on a
Mac, needs to have the volumes mounted onto it's desktop, which is fine -- no
problem there. The main problem is that Retrospect does two rather nasty things

Are you printing to a networked printer shared through the Solaris box. I have
been trying to get an HP LaserJet 5000 GN to print and it wont from most
applications, except those few that bypass lpr and use the printers shortname.
This may be more widespread than you think!
Alan
On Wed, 09 Feb
d the reply basically says that RedHat do not
support networked printer configurations.
Any help would be very much appreciated, I have struggled with this one for
days.

from KDE applications like the mail client, as well as from the printtool in
the RH Control Panel -- I can print test pages from there with no pro
