I have done a couple of different set ups, Retrospect, which is running on a
Mac, needs to have the volumes mounted onto it's desktop, which is fine -- no
problem there. The main problem is that Retrospect does two rather nasty things
*It doessnt recognise symbolic links as files
*It decompresses all the stuff in /usr and tries to recompress it onto tape for
archiving. Which in my case expanded around 650Mb into 12Gb, then tried to
recompress, which would have taken about 6 - 9 Gb!
Now, I have been swapping e-mails with Retrospect asking for details of when
a client would be developed, and they have said the following:
