I have been having some troubles getting the DE 220PCT D-link
ethernet card to work under RH7,
It works on Win98 but when I do a fresh installation
the RH7 does not recognize the network.

analogx (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/proxy.htm).

Sorry, but the last time I had to do something like that (a
previous job), someone had to pay about $250.00 (cdn) plus change
for a windows-based software kit (5-user/unlimited clients
version). It gave me more trouble than it was worth, in the long

Having had a long look at the documentation for this package, I've opted
to move it down my priority list. It looks neat but scary. I've

work (as I deep-sixed RH 5.0, and 6.0). I think I have finally had my fill
of Red Hat. I have to support a few VA-Linux boxes however, and need to do
large Oracle exports. I have been fading Red Hat out and using SuSE 7.0
Under the updates for 6.2, there i386, i586, and i686 directories. The i586
and i686 directories only contain kernel updates. What are these for? I
tried using the i686 update on a box with a PIII 700 and it failed.

I haven't looked at the Red Hat pages, but for most mailman
setups you can get your password mailed to you in case you
forgot it. As far as monthly reminders, mine would probably
get caught by procmail and /dev/nulled before I ever saw them.

This was hashed out in the Guinnes list.
The version of ping that comes with RH7 has some additional
capabilities that are not supported in the 2.2.16-22 kernel.
It's not a problem, though..it's just a message that ping is falling
back to an alternate polling method.
