The problem is that you're probably not authoritative for your subnet. That is to say, the DNS server tht actually is supposed to answer for reverse DNS on your block of IPs doesn't know who you are. You'll need to feed that info to your upstream, so that they can modify their reverse DNS for yo

According to their website the Zoom modem is an actual controller based modem. The USR modem is also controller based and even supports DOS (you know that OS that crashed less then Windows and was easier to fix when something went wrong), so I'm guessing that they don't require the ltwinmodem sup
