This is a stock RH 7.0 install on a newly formatted HD.
kgcc (egcs 2.91.66) is installed. [Note that I do not

First Question
The problem is that you're probably not authoritative for your
subnet. That is to say, the DNS server tht actually is supposed to
answer for reverse DNS on your block of IPs doesn't know who you are.
You'll need to feed that info to your upstream, so that they can
modify their reverse DNS for yo

chkconfig --level 0123456 kudzu off

reverse DNS have a valid address for your system's IP address?

The problem I have is this...
I have a fresh install of 6.2
The modem is configured with modemtool
the modem talks to the computer
The KPPP is configured properly
I can connect to the web with no problems at all:)
But, when I goto user, I click on KPPP, enter
According to their website the Zoom modem is an actual controller based modem. The
USR modem is also controller based and even supports DOS (you know that OS that
crashed less then Windows and was easier to fix when something went wrong), so I'm

Now, if Lenka can get the full text of the message, as opposed to the
128 character line such as he quoted, you've somehow gotten added to
the Redhat-list Redhat Linux mailing list. The messages you're seei
linuxconf mucks up the httpd.conf file. In other words, don't use
linuxconf to configure Apache. If you go to apache's website, they will
give you detailed instructions on how to fix this. I believe the URL is
http://www.apache.org. Look in Documentation/Support.

until you actually USE the card, similar to the way the PS/2 mouse
only shows up while in X.
Look at dmesg, if you compiled it in, or try insmod, like Mikkel
suggested.

I had this problem about 3 or 4 years ago when I started with sendmail. I
checked www.sendmail.org and found the solution to my problem along with a
