What could be wrong or has my system been compromised in some way. If I try

Hello friends,
I have RedHat 6.1 and RedHat 6.2 computers in my network.
Sometimes I need to start Xwindow from one machine to another
machine. I don't want to telnet to the remote machine and then start
applications, what I want is to do a remote Xwindow login (with xdm).

I used this
xreadvcd -v -a 00:10.00 | mtvp -
But I find that the video playback is not as good as on RH5.2
The video seems to have moments of "jerking" effects
Is this due to a newer version of XFree?

How do I create a restricted ftp user account?
This is for a webhosting server. Basically this client wants to have
several users who can access different parts of
/home/httpd/html/theirdomain without having access to the entire domain.
I can accomplish this by setting them up as full users, but
I've just seen a posting from VA Linux, indicating the availability of

Looks like they've added some current Power Tools, the kernel update

Hi,
Recently I upgraded my box from 6.1 to 6.2. Now apache-1.3.12-2 and
php-3.0.16 is not working.
PHP is compiled without any errors but when I enable load modules and add
module lines for php3
apache starts but dies immediately. Nothing in log file.
It worked before upgrade with apache-1.3.9-
If he can get everything he needs to fit in 40mb, then I would guess yes.
It should run on a 386 with 32mb.

Hello, List!
I have a RedHat 6.1 box that is behind a firewall. It has DHCP setup so it
gets a valid IP address. However, it doesn't get the DNS or gateway
information, and I can't access the Internet this way. I need to know of a
HOWTO or other document so I can get this box on the Internet.
