and I got the following output

In a word, motherboard. I found & bought a 2nd-hand m'board yesterday,
which uses the same chipset (i430vx) as the previous m'board, and so
swapped all my cards..(cpu, ram..etc) to this and the strange mouse
related affliction stopping the downloads & stuff has disappeared...gone!!

I wrote a script that puts portions of various logfiles into a text file to
mail to me using cron. The script looks like

immediatley use the harddrive entirely as a dos drive(partitioned)
Since I've got the original Seagate installation disks I think he can than
reformat the whole thing from scratch.

system does not detect the second Ethernet card. I had to add the
following line to the append statement of the lilo.conf;
ether=10,0x300,eth1

I've been using RH 5.0 for awhile now, and have downloaded many things,
installed many things, and even crashed a couple.
I have two problems left that I can't seem to resolve.
1. Java ICQ. I cannot get this to work. I've tried JDK 1.1.3, 1.1.4, and

Disable away. I don't use any of them either, also unless you have a
modular kernel you can also disable kerneld.

I'm not familiar with token ring myself. If I were you I'd follow the other
fellas suggestion and go buy 2 cheap ethernet cards. They can be gotton for
around $20 a piece these days, if not cheaper. Then just use a crossover
cable.

Be aware that some have experienced a few cursorkey-related problems
with the new version (myself included). Such as, they don't work in
listboxes, hotkeys, etc.

Do I really need to run them? I have no printer. I do not do maintainance
over the network. And I don't use NFS. Can I disable them in the ntsysv
program? Or is it important to load them for another reason?

I have a new Dell, an Adaptec 2940UW, and a RIVA128. Guess what. Doesn't
work...apparently...
1)The STB Riva128 is hard-wired to IRQ 9
2)The Adaptec has nojumpers; BIOS controlled IRQ setting.
3)Dell BIOS sets this to 9 as well.
4)Dell BIOS won't allow me to over-ride it
