Paste Sticky note onto panel

Hi there, I just discovered when middleclicking a panel it will dump a sticky note there like it does on the desktop. Is this intended? Looks weird to me, at least when not in panel config mode. You can easily accidentally drop a note there but then not get rid of it without entering the panel
