I am sorry, but I cannot retest the entered bug. Because of the continuing
failure I switched hardware for an AMD A10 board. Now Ubuntu Linux works

I was running Ubuntu from a flash drive, so it was as vanilla as Ubuntu
could possibly be. I assume Ubuntu does not come with proprietary

very noticeable amount of lag. The port is not recognised as an audio

Phil Wyett, thank you for your comments. Some folks know how to respin
ISOs with different kernels. As well, it wasn't made clear if this only
happens in the Live environment, or if you boot into an installed one.

This bug only happens booting the live ISO itself with more than one hdd
attached to the system. Once a system is installed everything works
correctly and no kernel issues arise.
Would there be docs for ISO respinning with new kernel anywhere on the
wiki or other location?

Title:
Network related kernel panic on Atom 64bit system using
Unable to reproduce this issue anymore. Another odd thing which I
noticed "fstrim -v /" , now returns "0 bytes" trimmed on multiple run.
This was not the case earlier.

AFAIK, overlayfs is not mainlined yet.
The problem I reported exists in the Ubuntu patched kernels of at least
Precise, Raring and Trusty though.

Change of importance to 'low'.
I feel this bug should be 'high' or better 'critical' and would argue
that the importance should be raised.
Many OEMs and other installers use multi disk setups.
* Many laptops have mSSD plus an SSD.
* Many systems have more than one disk to split partitions.
Please advise on the next set of steps.

Per the above suggestion in the bug page, testing kernel v3.8-raring shows the
same behavior.
Furthermore, the hid_hyperv kernel module is not present at all for this
version, as searched on the entire file-system which shows it only for the
default v3.11 kernel.
