entry in System settings/Sound -Output tab as found in Maverick and
Precise.
I hope the above helps

Plugging in the chord to the speaker only, cuts sound output via bluetooth.
Removal of the chord from the speaker instantly returns playback via
bluetooth, suggesting bluetooth connectivity is maintained.
Will try and obtain info from speaker manufacturer tomorrow.

Hi Christopher,
Just tested Kernel 3.8.0-33-generic, this couldn't find bluetooth adaptors
at all and did not run at all well, mouse not working either, very slow in
operation, so I have assumed this is not a finished release.
Off to bed now have kids soccer to do in the morning.

tings/ Sound - Output tab there is no entry
for the Gear4 speaker in the "Play sound through" field when viewed using
Saucy, while there is an entry with the other releases back to Precise. see

device to the PC via bluetooth.
With this in mind I conducted the reconnection of the same speaker via
bluetooth to my Dell Latitude running Saucy and upstream kernel, ensuring
no adaptor leads are connected, I still could not connect via bluetooth.

Hi Christopher,
I upgraded from 13.04 but unsure if I had this problem as I didn't have it
installed for long, I believe the last known working bluetooth was with
distro release 12.10 which was upgraded from 12.04LTS.
As a point of note, updates are installed as they arrive.
Kind regards
m
