Hi Christopher, The chord has to be removed from both the Latitude D610 and Gear4 speaker for bluetooth to work, this was when tested with 12.04. If left connected at the speaker no connection was made just as per the fault with Saucy.
Saucy 13.10 is has been tested with no chords connected to laptop or speaker, as it was felt that if the chord was left in a failure could be influenced. I've checked up to Raring 13.04, Kernel 3.8.0-19 generic this works okay. (All releases back to Precise are okay too) Saucy, Kernel 3.11.0-13 generic fails to work. I have noticed under System Settings/ Sound - Output tab there is no entry for the Gear4 speaker in the "Play sound through" field when viewed using Saucy, while there is an entry with the other releases back to Precise. see attached png Regards muss60 On 2 November 2013 22:04, Christopher M.
