Cannot find a reason, but sometimes once a day, sometimes twice a day,
my touchpad starts to work slowly, like jumping, and after a few
seconds, it completely stops working. At some point, I did something
with Terminal and it started working, but cannot reproduce it. The only

For me the error is gone after revert to default nvidia drivers and
select in "Software & Updates" center "Aditional Drivers": insted of
'Using Processor microcode firmware for Intel CPUs from intel-microcode
(proprietary)' the option 'Do not use the device'.

Yes, I can confirm that fix in post #137 helped me too for Lenovo Y50-70
in order to enable multi-touch. Befor that pach the touchpad was nod
detected (two finger scroll not working).

others, a very old bug and it is still unsolved,
although it is very easy to reproduce it. I am a young linux user, but
I could see it in Natty, Oneiric and now I tested it in Precise, both
with the standard kernel and the latest RC.

How to reproduce it:

Is is possible this to be related to a bug I got in Ubuntu 13.10 with
"wpa_supplicant"?
If not, I have no idea hot to report it, as I do not know which package
to report for. I get multiple crashed on startup and not only startup,
but it does not seem to report the but, although I press Report. On
I have tested the backported driver and for about one week of using the
802.11N connection, it seems to have been working better. It
disconnected once or twice, but I could connect, which I could not do
before this driver. I cannot bet it is a perfect test, as I could only
use N connection for more
@Christopher M. Penalver (penalvch) - actually, from the user's
perspective, I only want it to work. There are dozen of reports for this
bug and nothing happened for years. No offence, but as long as it will
work, I would take any help.
For now I am a little blocked with testing as I use an older
