@Kai-Heng Feng I get nothing on that command ("dkms status"). I did lots of the things above, including installing kernels, dkms, removing dkms, etc. They might have been contradictory, but either way, in my case, nothing happened, the driver was always grayed and cound not connect to the 2.4GHz (5 GHz works even with the card grayed in that list of proprietary drivers).
