and Xorg (LTS hardware enablement program). Screen was frozen, but I
was able to recover by switching to a VT and restarting X (switching
eventually worked after a long delay). Never any problems of this sort
with the 3.13-kern

touchpad stops working after suspend/resume on X
First of all, Trusty kernel worked somehow differently. It didn't
complain for /dev/log.
Yes, my /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.rsyslogd does not have 'r' for /dev/log:

So does it mean that the rsyslog profile has to be patched for trusty?
Or at least some kind of Utop
Is there anything I can do to get the patch actually backported? Can I somehow
backport it myself or something?
Even with the latest Utopic kernel which was published few days ago, I still

Today’s kernel update breaks the touchpad on the 2015 Dell XPS13. On
3.16.0-30-generic the touchpad worked fine.
Symptoms are that the touchpad stops responding at random times.
A possible cause is this patch:
