I did some reading at https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/12/28/94 and came to conlusion that I should do a sudo modprobe sbs_battery After that there is a /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1 which would be nice if only its information was updated at all. But all info read from /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/* will not change - it seems to get updated only once at boot time / first load of the module. uname -a: Linux notebook 3.19.0-031900-generic #201502091451 SMP Mon Feb 9 15:10:05 UTC 2015 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1425316/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
