On a DL380 G5 with a P400 array, this seems to be working again with the
lts-raring kernel (3.8.0-32-generic) and newer (e.g. lts-saucy
3.11.0-13-generic from ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa). Can anyone else
verify that?

I'm having the same problem in Ubuntu 13.10 on an Asus N53SV laptop. I
have disabled the power saving as described in #54, I'll report if that

Had this problem with a 12.04 that had been upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10
to 12.04 32 bit. I finally reinstalled new 64 bit 12.04 and the problem
persisted. For me it was gpe11 that had a value of 4200. I followed
the instructions from post #114 above, modified for gpe11 instead of 13
