The steps in the previous comment didn't work either. It seems that
autosuspend still occurs for individual devices even when usbcore is
told not to do it. I don't know enough about the internals of the Linux
kernel to know if this is intended behaviour.
I've tried manually adding every USB device
I have some new information.
This issue has something to do with processor type. I replaced nothing
more but processor to Pentium Dual E2160 and suddenly x64 live cd
managed to boot sucessfully. I took lspci, lshw and dmidecode of this
'upgraded' system, see attachment 'acpi-e2160.zip'.

I will try to do it with my other computer.
Now i installed Ubuntu in English language and changed localization after
installing.
I already use this computer where i installed Ubuntu 13.10, so sorry, but i
cannot test it right now.

Not good news: Sarah Sharp's patch to the USB core (mentioned above)
hasn't helped.
Now that I've *finally* found out what I should be doing in
/etc/sysfs.conf (
module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend = -1
) I might finally be able to see if this improves things.
