I have the same messages in dmesg (full log attached). Below the snippets as stated in this and the duplicate bugs.

Running Lubuntu x64. Laptop model: Acer Aspire AOD270 BIOS: v1.10 (released in october 2013) I am not having direct negative impacts, however as I understood power management can be improved, and thus battery life. Is there anything that I or the Linux community can do to fix this, or do I need to ask Acer to fix the BIOS? If I need to ask Acer to fix this, what exactly do I need to ask for? ** Attachment added: "Dmesg log file" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1213575/+attachment/3896164/+files/dmesg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1213575 Title: ACPI Warning: 0x0000000000000428-0x000000000000042f SystemIO conflicts with Region \PMIO 1 (20130517/utaddress-251) Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: Message in dmesg: [ 4.414137] ACPI Warning: 0x0000000000000428-0x000000000000042f SystemIO conflicts with Region \PMIO 1 (20130517/utaddress-251) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 Package: linux-image-3.11.0-2-generic 3.11.0-2.5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-2.5-generic 3.11.0-rc5 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-2-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.12-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: caravena 1670 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: caravena 1670 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC1D0p: caravena 1670 F...m pulseaudio CRDA: country CL: (2402 - 2482 @ 40), (N/A, 20) (5170 - 5250 @ 40), (N/A, 20) (5250 - 5330 @ 40), (N/A, 20), DFS (5735 - 5835 @ 40), (N/A, 20) Date: Sun Aug 18 02:41:59 2013 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=360bd2d2-4f44-4311-86d6-4781ac81ee87 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-07-31 (17 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" - Alpha amd64 (20130724) MachineType: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. 530U3C/530U4C MarkForUpload: True ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb 1 VESA VGA ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/@/boot/vmlinuz-3.11.0-2-generic root=UUID=0c67119c-ddae-476a-b510-142ec598f691 ro rootflags=subvol=@ quiet splash vt.handoff=7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.11.0-2-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.11.0-2-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.113 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 04/15/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: Phoenix Technologies Ltd. dmi.bios.version: P14AAJ dmi.board.asset.tag: Base Board Asset Tag dmi.board.name: SAMSUNG_NP1234567890 dmi.board.vendor: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. dmi.board.version: FAB1 dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 9 dmi.chassis.vendor: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. dmi.chassis.version: 0.1 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnPhoenixTechnologiesLtd.:bvrP14AAJ:bd04/15/2013:svnSAMSUNGELECTRONICSCO.,LTD.:pn530U3C/530U4C:pvr0.1:rvnSAMSUNGELECTRONICSCO.,LTD.:rnSAMSUNG_NP1234567890:rvrFAB1:cvnSAMSUNGELECTRONICSCO.,LTD.:ct9:cvr0.1: dmi.product.name: 530U3C/530U4C dmi.product.version: 0.1 dmi.sys.vendor: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.
