The entries are sorted by face tag. But that one face is scattered all ove
loaded for one group and not all 155,000.

a workaround that seems to be working for me is to have an extra desktop with
no windows on it, switch to that before I start turning off monitors, and after
coming back with all the monitors on switch back to the original

oh, disregard the thing about it not showing up in the volume control widget. I
found it hidden behind hamburger menu > show virtual devices.
