+1 on this.  In general I love wayland (it's so much snappier!) but when it
interrupts my workflow by introducing mental-flow breaking unexpected behavior
that takes away much of the benefit.  When windows are un-maximized, they
should go to where they were before they were maximized.  That's pretty clear,
right?  It should not matter what moved them to that position (quick tiles or a
manual move) - that should be hidden by any abstractions.  I hope this squeaky
wheel can get some grease soon.
