I did double-check, and cycled through prior versions of Powerdevil in my Arch
pacman cache
6.1.5, 6.1.90, 6.2.0, 6.2.1 would only control the laptop screen brightness
6.2.2 is the only version that would control both

highlighted, and the part autocompleted is highlighted. This way I can just hit
backspace to stop/remove the autocomplete if I didn't need it for that tag.
