I've tried it on another computer also running debian stable and there size and
position remembering works, so I agree, you can close this bug. Sorry I took
your time and thanks for the helpful answers!

Thank you for replying!
I removed the first few "garbage" entries, but that made no difference. What
did make a difference was removing the various Height= and Width= entries. Now,
the okular window doesn't
with recent files
data removed.
