I am looking for utilities to expunge old email from the mail boxes.
Currently, we delete a mail message, and it remains in the folder as

Okay, general client question (sorry for being off topic). How do you do
this in Outlook 2000?
I have opened the client, and I have selected the empty deleted folder on
exit. However, items are not removed from the mailbox.

You may want to use SAN instead of NAS. Sharing of storage will be
possible this way.

This mail is intended for those people who have trouble with getting
UW's c-client work together with cyrus because of the CRAM-MD5 stuff.
Though c-client's documentation clearly states that CRAM-MD5 cannot be
disabled, there is a very easy way to do it.
This works for me.

That 'empty deleted folder' you mentioned only works for POP accounts.
Since Cyrus-IMAP is using IMAP port, the 'purge' action is hidden somewhere
under the edit menu in Outlook 2000 or some other menu if I haven't

Hi all,
I've installed the cyrus IMAP server for the first time this morning,
and it's running fine. It looks like it will do everything we want it to
do, like not having to add unix users to have a mail user, and to be
able to access mail via POP and IMAP. But there is always a snag when

What version of the IMAP server is that under? I'm running 2.0.16 and I
couldn't find any reference to that option under the imapd.conf man page.
Thanks for the reply,
Adam.
