Hi all, I've installed the cyrus IMAP server for the first time this morning, and it's running fine. It looks like it will do everything we want it to do, like not having to add unix users to have a mail user, and to be able to access mail via POP and IMAP. But there is always a snag when you find a software package that is too good to be true! We're in the process of changing over to a newer mail server to replace the old clunker that does the job now.
While we do this changeover, we are going to change our email addresses from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] It's that dot inbetween the first and last name that is going to cause a problem when creating the mailboxes, right? From what I can see, you cannot have a mailbox called user.adam.fox as the fox will be a subfolder of adam. Does anyone know of a way to have user names of this format with this server? Is there an escape character or something that I can put in front of the dot in the mailbox setup, like user.adam\.fox ? Thanks for any help, Adam Fox.
