I think I'm now on the last step of installation- imapd 2.0.18, BerkelyDB
3.2.9- having been unable to get things working with BerkelyDB3.3.11. I can
successfully connect to both the imap and pop3 services and have set up the
mailboxes; the problem now is getting mail to go to the mailboxes. I've
Argh. Sendmail config file moved at some point from /etc/sendmail.cf to
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf. Still not working, but at least that's resolved!

Hello ,
I'm using solari8 with cyrusv2.0.12 and cyrus-sasl1.5.24.

Thanks again Amos, I saw the piece on config.h to enable it. How does
one get procmail to perform lmtp delivery from inside of a recipe? Is
there anything special to tell procmail to deliver messages using
procmail or does it use lmtp when you deliver messages from inside of
recipes once the opt

I tried the following remapping:

I posted a followup, but I didn't see it.
Anyway, after further looking at it, I'm afraid it is strictly a
LMTP server and not a LMTP client. It seems to be provided so that
Sendmail can talk LMTP to procmail, probably so that the enveloper
sender info isn't lost.
So, you're back to all the ove

Well, I've got a whole ton of these in our virtual maps and they
work just peachy. You might want to double check that '+' is the

I was getting the same feeling. I am using sieve for per user filtering
right now, but I need a method of having global filters (filters that
apply to everyone's mail, such as for virus elimination). I am going to
do battle with deliver and see if I can get that to work.
Thanks for all your inp
In that case, why not take a look at the internal filtering
capabilities of Sendmail (milter?).

I am looking at that too but it looks like more work than deliver. I
just tried it and the deliver that came with 2.0.16 seems to work fine.

The $obj variable is not getting created (line 149 of sieveshell, FWIW).
Any ideas? the logs say DIGEST-MD% authentication failed.
Also, what should the permissions of /usr/sieve and /usr/sieve/* be?

The actual IMAP commands are different than the commands that cyradm uses.

Hi folks,
I just upgraded to Cyrus 2.0.15 (from 2.0.6), and everything appears to be
fine with one exception - Outlook Express now has a problem writing sent
mail to the Sent folder on my account. My OE config hasn't changed from
when I was using it with 2.0.6 (even the name of the server is the

In 2.0.15, -e does nothing -- the option is ignored in deliver.c. The
comments imply that it had something to do with duplicate delivery in
the past.
