In IMP, the way you expunge deleted messages is by selecting the "Purge
Deleted" link. Until you do, messages marked as deleted are not removed.
Hi
Thx for the info but I'm not sure what u mean by 'expunge the INBOX' .What
puzzles me is that this problem only affects unread mail that is deleted
.Does this mean that IMP does not actually move the messages from the INBOX
if they are unread but does so if the message has been read ? In the IM
I'm pleased to announce the release of Cyrus IMAPd 2.2.2-BETA. Currently,
this is planned to be the last "beta" release in the 2.2 series. It has a
number of new features and performance improvements including
much-expanded header caching and support for the IMAP SASL-IR and BINARY
extensions. T

Yes, this will be

Nobody claims that the documentation for cyrus-imap is complete. This is
why the list is availab

Not really primarily a Cyrus question, but I was hoping someone here
might have prior experience.
I had a few users hosted on a Cyrus server here, who have now departed
for a new office, and would like to take their mail with them.
Preferably, I'd like to be able to stick it onto a CD and send it
Hello,
I'm seriously wrestling with cyradm. There seems to be no
documentation available as how to use it .
I have a basic setup of cyrus-imap with postfix.
That works. pwcheck_method is salauthd.
With cyradm I can login to the imap server with:
cyradm --auth plain --user mailadmin localhost

we recently had major problems with a disk system, and had to roll files
back from tape.
running "reconstruct -f -r user" mostly did the trick, but some users
had issues with the clients not showing them new e-mail messages.
what has happened, I think, is that they had messages 1,2,3 in their

I haven't paid much attention lately on the list so I don't know if this
has been submitted already or not. lmtp_downcase_rcpt doesn't downcase
the domain when it downcases the mail user name. If you are using the
virtual domain stuff this means that if your domain is lowercase and the

After about three weeks I have managed to get some of cyrus-imap working
but only with an authentication model based on pam->/etc/passwd.
I tried to get sasldb working as a configuration model and was
completely unable to get sasldb authentication for sieveshell.
So I tried to remove the sasldb c
