Hi Thx for the info but I'm not sure what u mean by 'expunge the INBOX' .What puzzles me is that this problem only affects unread mail that is deleted .Does this mean that IMP does not actually move the messages from the INBOX if they are unread but does so if the message has been read ? In the IMP preferences it's been set to move deleted messages to trash instead of just marking them as deleted .
