Hi
I've installed cyrus-imapd-2.0.16 with cyrus-sasl-1.5.27
on FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE from the ports.
I would like to authorize mail users with RADIUS.
So I've configured
imapd.conf:
sasl_pwcheck_method: PAM
/etc/pam.conf:
imapauthrequiredpam_radius.so try_first_pa

I'm afraid I can't answer that
Okay, I've got the sieve stuff from 2.1.x CVS build under 2.0.16 and
everything seems to be running fine. A few test scripts I setup worked
as expected.
With the vacation setup, what will it NOT respond to. I've some of this
listed in the draft but I'm looking for a full list. I would also like

Hello,
Now that cyrus imapd 2.1.1 is out, what packages (db-4) and options (db vs
flat based mailboxes/seen dbs) do you recommend to build the cyrus server?
I am successfully running several cyrus 2.0 installations with db3 based
mailboxes/seen databases on moderately busy servers. The servers
I do not have any real solution for you, but I can empathise with your
problem. What I have found is that when I use mutt (from work) and Mac OS X
mail (from home) I find that the cyrus.cache file in my folders grows to be
quite big. It causes my mutt to respond verr slow, and Mac OS X Mail a lit
Hi guys..

this problem is solved by doing the following. (Solaris 8)
- compile cyrus-imapd WITHOUT using the --prefix=/path option
you may use the --with-cyrus-prefix=/path
- make
- make install
- cd perl/

Hi there,
I am using, of course, MacOS X Mail application with Cyrus and it has
never hanged when connecting. It has always gone smooth both POP & IMAP,
and both Cyrus and standard RedHat imapd.

Isn't that the normal behavior for every OS X application?

This is what I get now:

Does anyone else have problems using the Mac OS X Mail
client with a Cyrus server?
At the stage when the client starts up and tries to enquire of the
server what authentication types are supported it just hangs,
for a very long time.

Hello.
Has anyone successfully have a working version of this combination?
Cyrus IMPAD 2.0.16
Cyrus SASL 1.5.27
BerkeleyDB 3.3.11
Solaris 8 and PAM (to use shadow without pwcheck daemon)
I compile it with no problem, but cannot get it to work.
root@aconcagua:/install/apache/cyrus-imapd-2.0.16$
I don't think you're paranoid, well, overly.
All my servers are named very carefully, and get their own engineers(a.k.a toy).
My newest cyrus server(thoth) will receive a fabulous lifelike toy donkey if it
manages to survive a month in production.
Most of my older servers are making due with fest

We are consider upgrading Cyrus IMAP from 1.6.25 to 2.1.1. I have some
hesitation of using BerkeleyDB with mailboxes. We currently have around
32000 lines in the mailboxes file.
What kind of problems has there been with BerkeleyDB mailboxes?
What kind of problems has there been with flat file mai
