I have the problem that some console programs don't work right in
Eterm. They are ok in xterm.
I run Redhat 9/Fedora 1 with Eterm 0.9.2 and it works very well, but
sometimes I run programs and the display looks awful. I think the
character set is color coded or some such and it looks bogus.

Just to follow-up on this subject and mind you, the decision is NOT mine,
but from the developer list, it seems that having sounds available in a
secondary E package is popular. As I mentioned, the goal is to reduce the
size of E's download and the sound files take up something in the 3-4mb rang

I an highly in favour of sound in E. I always use sound, excepting for
the moment when I can't yet get it to function on my new computer...
such sadness.
So please keep it in.

And this didn't solve the problem regarding compiling ewl. It appears to
be a problem in ./configure itself - that is at least where the error
directly traces back to. Unexpected symbol, indicating a typo somewhere
in a script that is used to make configure.
Maybe I will simply have to wait a bit
Yes Didier,
I have tried deleting my ~/.enlightenment directory, and I still get the
same thing.
And no I didn't upgrade from a previous version of E, I installed the E
16.6-1-rh9 from a clean RH9 install.
I suspect it could be the theme, but somehow I doubt it...
Hope this helps,
Thanks

Dear Gurus,
I've just installed Mandrake 9.2 (instead of Redhat 9) and transferred
my home directory across. I use the enlightenment window manager and
one large E-Term for virtually everything that I do. However, I have a
problem with the home and end keys on my keyboard. When I'm using vim

I had done so already, before compiling first read the README in the

Hello John,
Did you upgrade from a previous E 16.5 or something? Have you
tried changing themes or even deleting you $HOME/.enlightenment
directory? Do you get the same thing?
With kind regards,
Didier.
