Dear Gurus, I've just installed Mandrake 9.2 (instead of Redhat 9) and transferred my home directory across. I use the enlightenment window manager and one large E-Term for virtually everything that I do. However, I have a problem with the home and end keys on my keyboard. When I'm using vim among many other things, they don't do what I'd expect. In vim they change the case of the current character after a short delay. They work fine at the bash prompt, but that is it.
I do not have this problem if I use an xterm or rxvt window, so I assume there is something configured wrong for E-Term. I also have the problem that the backspace key doesn't work properly when programs like less are running, or if I'm typing commands in before a command has finished. For example, if I run 'man Eterm' and type /something and then hit backspace, I get '/something^H' displayed on the screen. Again, this problem does not occur in xterm. Can anyone offer any suggestions with this please? Many thanks in advance, Al ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.
