I run Redhat 9/Fedora 1 with Eterm 0.9.2 and it works very well, but sometimes I run programs and the display looks awful. I think the character set is color coded or some such and it looks bogus. I have noticed the problem with the firewall program lokkit (which looks ok in an xterm) and also aumix. The lokkit screen has a lot of gibberish symbols like @ all over.
I made a picture of the Eterm here: http://lark.cc.ku.edu/~pauljohn/WindowManagers/etermLokkit.jpg
But it looks completely normal in Eterm on another computer with the same OS, but presumably I missed a package somewhere.
In aumix in the Eterm, I see some stuff I don't understand, and then in the middle of the volume sliders:
aumix *** err [lib/libblow.c(267): 0 <Vol strncmp/isdigit/option.consolename failed **err [lib/libblow.c]
sometimes if you click around in the Eterm, the error messages disappear. I read that this is a gpm problem, but it does not affect xterm, only Eterm.
Can you advise?
