Sorry for butting in on your conversation. I know it's against the rules, but

Cinnamon 22.1.

Just to be safe: this bug is not _about_ inkscape not responding, it
_can be reproduced_ by having inkscape not respond. The bug is about the
wait-icon from Nautilus persisting beyond its usefulness.
i start both inkscape and nautilus by clicking them on the tray, then
drag&drop the file into inks
The patches file doesn't exist in 43+ and errors.ubuntu.com metrics
suggests it's fixed in newer versions. It is unclear if the proposed fix
is the right solution though, it feels like more of a workaround, the
stacktrace shows that box=0x0 which shouldn't be happening

Also affects Oracular. Exactly as described above: Open terminal, second
tab, try to detach a tab. Terminal crashes.
Fix above also works: Untick "Use colors from system theme" in Terminal
profile. Terminal no longer crashes.
