Thank you to everyone for your help! I just added the
"snd_hda_intel.probe_mask=0x01" permanently to grub and it seems to be
working fine.
It's actually preferable to not have the HDMI audio work because I'd
normally have plugged in speakers through the microphone anyway and this
way I don't have

video works now. But I've tried plugging 2 different microphones in, to
the front & back panels of the desktop with no audio output. I hear the

I have a fresh Squeeze installation on my main desktop and it was all
running smooth, except for the fact that flash player wouldn't play
any sounds for me through both Konqueror and Iceweasel. I'm using KDE.
