whirl.
using kernel-package (6.05), i've been trying to test a
custom (compliled) 2.2.16 kernel in 2, slink lapboxes.
after i run "make menuconfig,
...icewm (with liquid for a theme). it's clean and
doesn't remind me of m$. (be sure to apt-get iceconf
so you can hide the taskbar and use cool background
images.)

favorite themes, replaced the ones in slink with the
