I had a similar problem. I tried to install Sarge (i386) with the 2.6
kernel (option "linux26" did work for me) on my new SATA drive, but the
installer wouldn't find the HDD. So I switched to Etch and this worked
w/o any problems.

does anybody have experience with Debian and TV out and/or MythTV? I'd
