Even if in HTML code there is clearly marked that document is in UTF-8,
the browser (FireFox and Konqueror) displays text in ISO-8859-1. If I
want to see the text I must manualy select UTF-8 encoding.
How can I repair this?

Mitja
configure
apt-get. If your entries in /etc/apt/sources.list are pointing to
stable, then you will get Sarge. If they are pointing to testing then
you will get Etch. Just change "testing" with "stable" if you want Sarge.
