Hello,
I'm wondering if this is a known bug, it's hard to search
for in google and elsewhere (alsa-users archives).
I have a 2.6.0-test9, my ESS1868 is detected fine:

I was using gdm for some time and it worked nicely.
At some point I was only using xinit and it worked
and only with xinit I have my umlauts (tricky case,
long story).
Now, where do I have to put ssh-agent in my .xinitrc
or so so that all terminals opened have it? If I start
it in my .xinitrc, it
Hello.
Is anyone running ALSA and has it working with the 2.5.52
kernel (and obviously the latest modutils or it may not work
out anyway)? I would love to get it running.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Alexander

Argh? It has been tough enough to even start using X at
all, the console just worked...
Any hints most welcome.

Hello.
I have tried to install kernel 2.5.7 and am trying to use
ALSA here. I have a Creative Vibra 16C (SB compatible). Now
with all the modules I was just saying 'modprobe snd-sb16'
and it was loading the modules just fine without any
problems, looks really nice. (I have devfs enabled, too)
Now
ed in my .gnupg/options before.

Hi all,
I have a problem here I can't seem to find a solution to...
I use xmcd and all works, I can listen to CDs just fine.
When I use grip or gdc I get these errors:
ATAPI device hdb:
Error: Illegal request -- (Sense key=0x05)
Invalid command operation code -- (asc=0x20, ascq=0x00)

what not did not help at all. Besides, two cables cannot
both be broken if the status readback is working.
TIA!

Hi.
XF4 is running without any problems on -test11 if anyone
cares and does not already know. I still got some mails
since I was asking about the problem a week ago or so.

You can probably point out to me some hints or some obvious stuff that
I simply did not think about... any hint would be appreciated.
I have a Celeron-Something here, Intel BX chipset, I tested to run XF4

Hi.
Does anyone of you have a howto or some hints on setting up
a chrooted "ssh-in-a-box" on debian system?
This would be most appreciated.

xinit won't load that lib. And the package should be installed though
all those many libraries missing are strange.
Thanks in advance,

Hiya.
I have a constant problem with a server of us (the only Debian server, it's
been hard enough to convince them to install Debian on it)...
There're some errors you might already know, so I'm asking:

(answer to
.birch.net
and though it is in /etc/news/nntpsend.ctl like birch:news.birch.net::
So what am I doing wrong?
Trying an innxmit news.birch.net birch.nntp does the job...
TIA,
