i think because sunrpc is UDP, and i don't think ssh can
tunnel UDP services. you can run NFS over TCP but its marked
experimental in linux

I have been having some major problems with gnome and nautilus and a few

The default settings GAIM has the MSN Messenger Plugin work fine, I'd
recommend going with those.

install the qmail deb package-- it's always crapped out; though I hadn't
tried with wget. Has anyone pulled down the qmail package with apt

Cable modem here and no dhcpd installed. It works fine.
