I see the message in the subject header when doing apt-get upgrade, followed by a somewhat long list of packages. Can someone tell me what causes this? After running the upgrade command, I did an "apt-get install" on one of the packages that was in the list. It upgraded without a problem. -- S

I've installed it directly by getting the sources from www.xfree86.org. After compiling it with make World and make install everything works very fine. The advantage is that you may update in the future very simply by getting the original diffs without downloading again 50 MB of source code. -- S
