Ah, true. That's actually uncommon for the display manager not
to be under /usr/sbin/ as gdm3 and lightdm are. That's why I

Hello Franceso!
kdm is missing a systemd service file. I am not sure whether this is
related to your problem, but you could add the attached kdm.service
file and add it to /lib/systemd/system and see if that fixes your
problem.
Cheers,
Adrian

Dear Maintainer,
I am trying to install kde-plasma-desktop non-interactively (i.e. from a
script). kde-plasma-desktop pulls in both lightdm and kdm packages, both of
which want to be the default display manager. I am using debconf-set-selections

Hi,
kdm is supporting either logind or consolekit, but the dependencies are

Would be nice if the following dependency was added to the kdm package:

Dear Maintainer,
Apparently kdm, sometimes has problems restarting.
I am not sure if it's relevant but I'm using systemd right now.
I attach the daemon status, including the not much log I got.

Actually, removing the xdm readme part from the README.Debian seems to be a

Hi,
Ten years later, kdm has a manpage which document the configuration files used,
the README.Debian parts that come from the xdm still says
"The above three files" while it refers to the xdm-config and Xresources file,
and the upstream README.gz is gone
