Hi,
thanks for reporting this!
I used git-buildpackage and even when combined with pbuilder/cowbuilder
this doesn't happen, but I am able to reproduce this with the package in
the archive and plain pbuilder.
I'll try to patch out that behaviour and upload a fixed version soon.
