The build failure seems to concern libwibble-dev instead of guessnet.
In addition, it appears that the problem was resolved, as the guessnet

A friend of mine had the same problem with a nvidia 440 on testing. Reading
the related threads [0] and [1], he tried the nopat option at boot command
line. Fortunately it worked. You may try that out as well.

I found out, that libtomcat6-java_6.0.24-1_all.deb actually contains the
class in question in the file tomcat-coyote-6.0.24.jar:
org/apache/tomcat/util/log/SystemLogHandler.class
In 6.0.20 this class was inside the file coyote-6.0.20.jar.
