I have made a patch to prevent GetLock() from following symlinks. For
added measure I've also removed O_TRUNC; since the lock file should be
empty anyway, there's no need to truncate it again. Applies cleanly
against 0.4.11 and 0.4.13.

I'm having the same bug here. Redirecting /dev/null to stdin or using
os.close(0) fixes the problem as mentioned in the previous emails.
Also the problem is in python2.5 because the bug doesn't occur when

The test program submitted did not show the bug (which nevertheless
