I'm not the original submitter, but I experienced the same problem[0].
I built and installed 0.3.5, and it works very nicely. Even
Ctrl-Alt-Del works. The machine now shuts down and boots without a
hitch.

BTW, the CVE is misleading, there are ruby script fixes needed as well

Log of an IRC conversation on the status of this bug is attached. In
short, it might be easier to workaround this problem at the nautilus
level, it's way riskier at the gnome-vfs2 level.
