Hi,
I compiled and run 2.6.16.13 vanilla kernel on Sarge and this problem
has too! snd_cs4281 was succesfuly detected at least in one case, but
I can't tell why.
My notebook is a little outdated Fujitsu-Siemens C-6155.
I tried to exclude ACPI support from kernel, but without affect on

Hi,
the previous patch (source code) sent by me has a bug.
When the descriptors are closed, it hangs.
./open_init_pty bash -c 'echo hello; exec >&- 2>&- <&-; sleep 1; '
Please wait a while, I'm going to fix it.
Best Regards

I believe, this code is better.
The attached patch should be applied over previously attached
open_init_pty.c source.

I catch, that se_aptitude eats too much of the CPU time. While tracking
the problem I found open_init_pty has the bug. The select() is called to

Hello,
I caught discussion about select() somewhere - monitored file-descriptor
should be in non blocking mode to be sure, that IO on it not block (even
the select() returns it can do IO). Descriptor ptymaster already was in
non blocking mode, but stdin & stdout not. Attached patch:

Hi,
I forgot to note, that this should be corrected in stable (sysklogd
1.4.1-18) too. I hope SElinux will be used widely in Etch.

I was fighting with lirc-modules-source last weekend.
Please consider my changes to lirc source package - patch attached.

Hi,
there is also problem with the reseting HOME & interactive sudo mode.
The old behaviour was, that HOME was kept in common use e.g.
sudo xlogo
so $HOME/.Xauthority was accessible for xlogo.
And HOME was reset in the case of interactive sudo
sudo -i
and HOME is /root in that case.
That is acco

I just took tools/libvirt-guests.init.in & tools/libvirt-guests.sysconf
and modify init script a little (remove bashisms) and put it on
a server. It is not final shape probably, but maybe it can be useful as
starting point...

colleague.
