I tend to agree with this. The packages should be removed instead.
In any case I'll reassign it to util-vserver again. As you do not consider
it as a bug I marked it as wontfix.

I can hardly see that this is a problem in the vserver-debiantools
package. The reason is the following:
1) newvserver use debootstrap for installation
2) newvserver generates a new crontab to reduce peak load
3) cron never looks on the crontab in its pre/post-install scripts to the
Package: vserver-debiantools
Version: 0.6.2
When creating a new vserver with newvserver under lenny, the result has
the cron package installed but it is not started by default. The symlinks
in /etc/rc?.d/ to /etc/init.d/cron are missing.
I think this is confusing. Either cron should start automat
