Further information: the problem here is apparently that fontforge
incorrectly sets the CP1252/Latin-1 bit in the OS2 header of the TTF
file, you can see this with the mensis tool. This does not happen with
the fontforge in etch.

(probably Arial), Wine can't find it, so Wine chooses a dif

be fontforge (!), because using an older version from etch
(0.0.20061019-1) during the build solves
