Hi Uwe! As far as I understand this issue, the 2.6.x kernels ship an older version of the ipw2000 modules. You are trying to build 2.6.10, and I think you would be better off with a more recent version, like 2.6.15. Although I have failed to load newer firmware versions with this one too. Good
