nce features used by vsftpd. With vsftpd-1.1.3 and newer there is a
confif workaround, use_sendfile=NO.
However, my filesystem is not unusual.
I did try adding the use_sendfile=NO workaround, but it has not
helped.

hesiod is handy, it's a nice lightweight way to share user
info. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work very well anymore. ssh
just fails. I think with "(pam_unix) check pass; user unknown" su is a
little more informative with:

answer and sticks its suggtion into hesiod.conf

I just ran into this. It's really annoying, since I was coming from a
working tftpd, and changed to tftpd-hpa at the advice of the the
debian installer docs. Leaving this in a broken state seems poor.
