Package: hotplug Version: 0.0.20040329-25 Severity: normal SynCE packages attempts to check for availability of /dev/ttyUSB0 for connecting to the PDA (ipaq module), but hotplug does not seem to create them before calling the hotplug scripts. I am not sure where to place this bug, but currently the ipaq scripts are completely useless because they do not output errors into the log from stderr, so errors from synce-serial-start are completely invisible.
Again, I am sorry if this bug does not belong here, but it just seems like it, since the ipaq hotplug script is in the hotplug package (afaik). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.2 Locale: LANG=en_DK, LC_CTYPE=en_DK (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages hotplug depends on: ii bash 3.0-16 The GNU Bourne Again SHell ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.58 Debian configuration management sy ii grep 2.5.1.ds1-6 GNU grep, egrep and fgrep ii module-init-tools 3.2-pre8-1 tools for managing Linux kernel mo ii modutils 2.4.27.0-3 Linux module utilities ii procps 1:3.2.5-1 /proc file system utilities ii sed 4.1.4-4 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages hotplug recommends: ii ifupdown 0.6.7 high level tools to configure netw ii pciutils 1:2.1.11-15.1 Linux PCI Utilities ii usbutils 0.71-6 USB console utilities -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
