Package: hesiod Version: 3.0.2-15.1 hesiod is handy, it's a nice lightweight way to share user info. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work very well anymore. ssh just fails. I think with "(pam_unix) check pass; user unknown" su is a little more informative with:
su: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. (Ignored) both of these problems go away if I add shadow entries. Oddly, if I shadowconfig off, it doesn't work until I add an entry to /etc/passwd. tcpdump does show the TXT? queries. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
